Portugal now a week away so I’ve stepped up the diet efforts and this included cutting out all energy drinks from my diet… a day or two of headaches and extreme fatigue and I’m fighting fit. Went gym three times this week, doing my split (that im yet to upload!) and tonight it’ll be home circuit with my little brother. 10 body weight excersizes, 5 sets in about 30 mins. Every saturday night should end up with you on the edge of conciousness, whether is be a round of shots or a set of reps. Good times.

Not letting up
August 28th, 2010Push ups yay
August 22nd, 2010Another home circuit with my little bro – dig out my push up bar that attaches to the door frame, surprisingly effect and adds nice variation to the workout. It’s currently very upper orientated so I’m adding in calf raises, removing ’7 heaven bicep curls’ and seeing where there takes us.
Heading out tomorrow for heavier weights to play with… can definitely see the home training expanding, the young one’s a great training partner. Nothing like infectious motivation. Night!

August 20th, 2010no workout today either, there’s falling off the wagon, then driving it into a wall. Home circuit workout tomorrow, getting back into things for a two weeks strong push as of Monday!
On the naughty step
August 19th, 2010Been a bad boy the past week with regard to eating and fitness but me did have a workout with me little bro two days ago that left him leaning over the toilet vomitting his guts up – that’s a testimonial right there. Today its gymming it up, back, biceps and neck. Keeping a record and hitting it hard – Portugal in just over two weeks!
Still going weak
August 11th, 2010Not been too good on the updating front but that doesn’t mean I’m not training. Today was a day off, yesterday was a chest workout and monday was an intense crossfit session with a buddy. All going well – apart from the pigging out today, but the occasional cheat day can be overlooked, encouraged in fact. Tomorrow a lunch time gym session, the excitement is killing me…
Well the food tastes nice
August 8th, 2010Blinking was the toughest physical aspect of the day – but in good news, I did a 30min home circuit training workout which worked to good effect. 8 body weight exercises with a minute rest in between – did five in the time and ended feeling a little sick and drenched in sweat, good times. Tomorrow I’ma be cycling to work, with what should be a hardcore training session in the evening with a local personal trainer, expecting big things =D
I’m not superstitious but
August 7th, 2010So I woke up today ready for action, left the house in plenty of time and ready to kick major ass… only for the venue to be closed. Empty inside and tears seeping from my eyes as I peered in like a scene from Pinnochio. Sad times.
No worries I thought, can always hit the gym later, and so I did. Well I tried too, gym gear in bag, dressed in my cycling gear (shorts so tight I may as well be wearing cling-film) and just as I approached my bike, it started to pour. Someone above clearly wants me to pig out and kick back on the couch, for tonight, I shall obey! A home workout may take place in an hour… oh the suspense.
Still going strong
August 6th, 2010So I took the weekend off but how has it been four days since my last update? A key aspect to this blog is not to beat myself if I slack a little I’ll stop here. This week has been a lot of cycling in, a hardcore chest session on tuesday and a bicep/back workout yesterday that had my heart and arms pumping throughout. Good times.
Today is a day off (can’t squeeze in a workout anywhere) but tomorrow morning is Kung Fu, providing the school is still operating. Loved the discipline and to have it as part of my lifestyle again would make me a happy (and very fit) fellow. It remains a dream to do a backflip, what would be the best way for me to achieve this? I’ll be uploading my routine this weekend, keep an eye out =D
Well Rest is important
August 2nd, 2010I wanted to go Kung Fu on the saturday, I wanted to go Circuit Training today, instead I am going cinema to watch A-Team. Last week was intense, cycling and gymming it up every day of the week was beautiful, and I’m back to it tomorrow – but life is for living and it’s all too easy to beat yourself after taking time out. The weekend was eating healthy (for most part) and I’m fighting fit ready for tomorrow. Cycled into work, so I’ll count that as a cardion workout =D
Tomorrow it’s a hardcore chest workout (and what I lack in strengh, I make up for in grunting.. what?! Gotta get attention somehow).

July 29th, 2010Every now and then we all have down days, where things simply don’t seem to go our wayn…. well today, was not one of those days =D A cycle to work, more direct and clear than the first journey a few days back, I was on fire! … not literally, but it was hot out and the cycle back was surprisingly smooth. Motorists are aggresive as ever but there’s a certain vibe about cycling that feels so free and right.
Gym today was back, biceps and neck, a rushed workout but pretty intense and maybe I’m just an optimist, but I’m sure resutls are already occuring. Tomorrows a friday, saturdays a night out and sundays most likely a lie in… I’ve been a good boy this week, I deserve a lie in. Knees have taken a battering with the cycling and legs workouts, but I’ma take car of ‘em this weekend, dancing a social, they’ll love it.
